Hey guys! Sorry that there haven’t been any reviews in so long. Both Moeronpan and I have been super busy—Moeronpan with business, and me because… I was super sick. But I’m a lot better now, so have a really delayed Earth Defense Club review. We’re both still planning to keep the review schedule for this series, so Moeronpan’s review of episode 11 will probably be out sometime next week, and my review for episode 12 will be out sometime after that.
Whooooo! Finally, here is my take on this show. (I’m going to stick to calling it by the English translated name because the Japanese is really long and hard to remember for me.) If you haven’t yet, check out Moeronpan’s first impression of this series.
I made it a point to avoid Moeronpan’s review before watching and writing this, as to not be influenced by her opinion. Will we react in the same way? Find out under the cut!
Here on this blog there’s a general rule of sorts that you may have noticed if you’re a long-time reader – although it has been subverted on occasion, for the most part when there is a magical girl show Ariana will do it and for the most part when there is a fujoshi-esque show Moeronpan will do it. Exactly what we would do when a fujoshi-esque magical boy show popped up we didn’t exactly ever consider, but we have now! This will be the first time there are two separate First Impression reviews of the same show – it’s actually something I’d been interesting in trying for a while now (especially when it comes to the kind of shows I absolutely slam in First Impression reviews and the fact that the four reviewers on this site often have very differing opinions on things). You’ll be able to see what Ariana thought of this show in a few more days.
