Nendoroid Lord el Melloi II (The Case Files of Lord el Melloi II)

I’ve been meaning to review this since February, when he first released – however, luckily in 2020 time is fake and that doesn’t matter. It’s late, but it’s also the first figure review I’ve done in yeeears on this blog, so that’s okay. There’s three pieces of Waver merch I intend to review on this blog including this one – but one of them (the Petworks/Azone doll) has been in postal limbo since March due to EMS closing up and the other (the Aniplex figure) isn’t released yet.
Anyway, even though I’ve drifted away from nendoroids in recent years, there was absolutely no way I was going to turn down the first nendoroid of my favourite character ever, Waver Velvet. I say ‘first’ because I’ve been wishing for a nendoroid of his younger form for, at time of writing, eight years. With the popularity of Fate/Grand Order and Waver being one of the most coveted characters in the game, it’s surprising to me that it’s taken until the release of the Case Files anime for any nendoroid of him at all to get announced. Let’s take a look.

Vocaloid Gumi (Megpoid) Nendoroid

Guess what today is! It’s Moeronpan’s 4th anniversary! I was actually really surprised when I saw the notification. This blog started as a way for me to procrastinate during my university years. Since then, I’ve invited Ariana to join me, graduated, started a dumb webcomic, moved to Japan, started working full-time, and fallen in and out of various fandoms (remember when I used to blog Hetalia all the damn time? Remember my Vocaloid PVposts? Vocaloid is still one of my main fandoms though (…hence this review of course) but man is it hard to keep up with). And, of course, ran out of a lot of free time which makes blogging series really difficult for me. I don’t want to quit Moeronpan, and doing the anime seasons First Impressions is still a lot of fun for me, for better or worse. But, don’t worry! Even though I didn’t blog anything this season again, there are some shows I am definitely taking on next season, including one I’ll be co-blogging with Ariana.
That has nothing to do with this review, I just thought some kind of mini-speech was in order considering this milestone. I’ve heard that the average lifespan of an anime review blog is two years, but we’ve passed that twice, even if we’re not the most jam-packed review blog out there (which is my fault. I’m really grateful for Ariana’s content).

And so, on to the really overdue review for the Gumi nendoroid.

Such a bright and energetic box too!

Puella Magi Madoka Magica – Tomoe Mami Nendoroid

Continuing in my tradition of doing figure reviews months after they actually come out. Let’s see if I can get this done before the figma reaches me! This does contain what is basically spoilers of episode 3 of Madoka Magica but really, if you don’t at least know about the events in the episode I can only assume you live under some kind of internet rock and thus probably wouldnt be that interested in this review anyway.

Vocaloid Meiko Nendoroid

Hey everyone, it’s that reviewer that can’t even keep up with a weekly 3 minute series! But at least I can still get my figure reviews done(if getting them done months after the figure comes out counts as ‘getting them done’). But in my absence I got a new camera, plus wordpress seems to have gone all weird and won’t let me put captions on pictures but I’m sure you can live without those.

Hideyoshi Kinoshita Nendoroid

Hey remember when I posted here? Here’s another overdue nendoroid review.
Since I work full-time now (and try to devote any free time to my webcomic – by the way the character poll is closing soon so I’d vote now if you haven’t done so yet hinthint), I can’t say for sure how many (if any) series I’ll be taking on next anime season but I hope I can do at least one. I’ve currently got 4 other figures on preorder though so there will be  of course those reviews when they come out, at least.

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku HMO Version – Hatsune Miku Orchestra

Hey everyone! I’m actually alive, believe it or not! (which shouldn’t be too surprising for anyone who follows my tumblr). I havent had time to review anything (or even really watch anything) because of moving to Japan and all but I took all the photos for this review before I left Australia and decided to assemble the review here when I got some decent time. This review really should have been done months ago, this figure was released at the end of January… but… oh well.

Nendoroid Dead Master by Good Smile Company

If you’ve looked at my past comments on some of Moeronpan’s nendoroid reviews, you’ve probably noticed that I wasn’t too fond of nendos in general back then. It’s been two years since that time, and my views on them have definitely changed.

(A fairly long and wordy review ahead!)

Some might say she looks sinister--I think she looks adorable.
